Our Worms
We currently specialize in ONE species of ‘composting worm’ here at Worm Composting Canada – Red Worms (Eisenia fetida). Red Worms (aka “Red Wigglers”) are well suited for life in a vermicomposting bin/bed, and they are apparently also excellent worms for fishing (especially for trout and panfish). They can also be used as a live food organism for various amphibians, reptiles, fish and birds.
Our primary options for purchasing Red Worms are “Compost Ecosystem” and “Red Worm Culture” bags, but if you are looking for larger quantities of worms and/or specific weights of worms, feel free to drop us a line since we may still be able to meet your needs.
